Assistance for Single Mothers

Mountain Vista Ranch provides an independent living environment for young women needing assistance in learning life skills, finding employment, completing educational programs and/or learning parenting skills.

Participants in the program must:

  • Be willing to accept guidance from program advisors and observe program guidelines
  • Have no more than two children living with them in the program
  • Be drug free
  • Submit to a background check (if over age 18)
  • Have parental consent (if under age 18)

Participants will have an opportunity to learn:

  • Money management skills
  • Menu development and food preparation
  • Time management
  • Parenting skills
  • Public transportation access
  • Health and nutrition information

Educational opportunities include:

  • Completion of a GED
  • Completion of a high school diploma
  • Enrollment in college or specific post high school training
