Pippin Youth Ranch

small logo

Pippin Youth Ranch is located five miles north of Clovis, New Mexico. As our newest facility, it houses up to 10 young adults, ages 17-21. This semi-independent living program serves young people who need a safe place to live, and who need to develop the skills essential for responsible independent living. The Pippin Ranch experience provides each resident with opportunities to learn the skills and qualities they’ll need as successful adults and members of the community.

Living Arrangements
Six youth live in a large home with Resident Advisors. A separate apartment and small house accommodate four youth who have transitioned into more independent living. This close community environment promotes cooperation and healthy peer relationships.

Program Goals
Upon entry into the program, residents help create a Personal Learning Plan that addresses the goals and objectives they wish to achieve. Through a mentoring environment, youths are taught and assisted with life skills such as opening a checking account, budgeting, buying groceries, managing personal space and proper employment skills. Residents also pay rent and other living expenses.

School and Work
Residents who have not completed high school are expected to attend school or enroll in a GED program. All others must be working and/or attending college or a vocational training school.

Church and Spiritual Life
Christian values are an important part of our program philosophy. However, The Ranches is not affiliated with any church denomination, and residents make spiritual decisions based on their own choices. Residents are encouraged to attend the church of their choice in the Clovis community.
