Associate Resident Advisors
The Ranches actively seeks Christian couples to serve as Associate Resident Advisors. Associate Resident Advisors provide assistance to on-duty Resident Advisors in supervising cottage activities for up to ten children ages 10 to 18, and provide supervision of the cottage two to four days per week by assuming the responsibilities of the Resident Advisors when they are off duty. Associate Resident Advisors also maintain their personal living quarters and work in another capacity at the Ranch property (e.g., office, kitchen, maintenance, etc.). Married couples desiring the position of Associate Resident Advisors must be 23 years old or older, married a minimum of two years, and have no more than two children currently living with them. Associate Resident Advisors are expected to model healthy behaviors, morals and values, and be willing to work with youth from troubled backgrounds. Associate Resident Advisors should also have a lifelong commitment to learning new skills and are required to participate in ongoing residential group care training provided by The Ranches. Compensation includes salary, room and board, HMO medical coverage, life insurance and four weeks vacation per year. Housing arrangements vary, but generally consist of two or three bedrooms, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. A maximum of two pets are allowed with a pet deposit.
